ACP/EU in Bamako, April 2005

The 9th Joint Parliamentary Assembly (JPA) is being held in Bamako, Mali.

John Bowis will be involved in the discussion between parliamentarians from the ACP States and from the European Parliament. His work includes:

- Ensuring his amendments to the report on Post-Conflict Rehabilitation are adopted;
- Question to the European Commission about inclusion of health in Country Strategy Papers;
- Question to the ACP Council about preparedness for a potential flu pandemic;
- Follow-up to Report on Food Aid & Food Security;
- The situation in Sudan;
- Visits to projects (more info here later);
- Lessons from the response to the Tsunami.
