Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD)

Speaking at the launch of the campaign on Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) awareness in the European Parliament John Bowis MEP, Conservative Health Spokesman, called on the British Government to put AMD higher on the UK health agenda.

AMD is the most common cause of blindness. It is crucial that every 50 year old has an eye test. Early diagnosis can make a difference, so can early treatment and accessible advice to individuals and families.
