ACP/EU in Wiesbaden, June 2007

The 13th Joint Parliamentary Assembly (JPA) took place in Wiesbaden, Germany from 23rd June 2007.

Members of Parliament from the African, Caribbean and Pacific Member States met with Members of the European Parliament to discuss their economic and political ties and relations.

John Bowis questioned the Commission and ACP Council about progress on access to health care and medicines; access to the European Development Fund for marginalised groups; and whether the EU Council accepts the idea that climate change is caused primarily by the developed world, but will affect the developing world to a greater extent. The next European ACP-EU meeting will be held in Rwanda.
