ACP/EU in Bridgetown, November 2006

The 12th Joint Parliamentary Assembly (JPA) took place in Bridgetown, Barbados from 18th November 2006.

Members of Parliament from the African, Caribbean and Pacific Member States will meet with Members of the European Parliament to discuss their economic and political ties and relations.

John Bowis questioned the ACP Council about the inclusion of health and disability in Country Strategy Papers; he questioned the Commission about progress on vaccines for Malara and TB and attended Committee and Plenary meetings. The next European ACP-EU meeting will be held in Germany, then Rwanda will host the following meeting.
