News 5th April 2005 Conservative MEPs welcome European Court ruling on vitamin supplements Commenting on today's announcement by the European Court of Justice that new European laws controlling the sale of vitamins and other food supplements are illegal, John Bowis MEP, Conservative Health Spokesman in the European Parliament, said:
"Conservative MEPs warned at the time that this Directive was several steps too far in the realm of the nanny state and I am delighted that at least at the first stage of the judicial conclusion, common sense and consumer choice is being endorsed." |
