Bowis - New role for Conservative MEP John Bowis, Conservative MEP for London, has been elected by all the parties of the centre-right European People's Party/European Democrats (EPP/ED) to be their Co-ordinator and Spokesman in the European Parliament. John Bowis said: "It is a great honour for a British Conservative to receive the endorsement of his colleagues in this way and I look forward to working for the right balance of environmental and health improvements but also common sense and protection of jobs for people in London." John Bowis was also appointed Health and Consumer Affairs Spokesman for the Conservative Delegation in the European Parliament and will also continue his work on the Development Committee monitoring the work of the European Commission in its humanitarian and development role around the world. |
